Where in the world is your birthday
Ok so its might be a bit of fun and others might think 'what the .....?'
So here is the premise, it is possible to write your birth date down as a latitude and longitude with a bit of thought, I will use mine as an
example.
DOB = 11 07 1959
So take the day and month as the first part and this becomes 11 07 00 (six digits for each require), then the year becomes 19 59 00. The only problem
that you might have is IF any of the paired numbers exceeds 60 (only likely on the final year pairing, but this then changes only a little as you take
60 off of the second pair and add 1 to the first pair. ie my wifes year is 1962 so this becomes 20 02.)
You then these numbers and input them into google earth and get a rough location.
So my birthdate gets entered into google earth as
11 07 00 19 59 00.
Hit enter and see where in the world this takes you to. Then put this up here as a rough loaction relative to any towns or other notable locations. No
need to put up your birthday as I ONLY use mine as an example.
I will put up my results in my next post just for clarity.

Trust me it will work, for the most part people seem to be somewhere in Africa (hope we don't catch something nasty). I think the only way
paople will be somewhere else is if the use the american date format. No just tried that still end up in Africa. So perhaps I should have made the
title, 'where in Africa is your birth date'
Still a bit of fun.
Remember to enter it as 'DD MM 00 CC YY 00' where CC is the Century and YY is the year, IF YY is bigger than 60 then Subtract 60 and add 1
to the century. so 1993 would be entered as 20 33.

Thinking about it more, every single one of us will have been born in a thin strip of Africa either in DRC, Central Africa, Chad or Libya. Hmmmm
wonder if we can modify the game to give more interesting results?

Assuming you're not doing it wrong, maybe if Google Earth finds a more interesting match for your numbers than interpreting them as North and
East latitude and longitude (like a US zip code?) it may take you there rather than the middle of nowhere in Africa? Based on just that grid ref
format we're definately all in a thin strip of Africa - 19 or 20 degrees East and anywhere from 1 to 31 degrees North.

Well since you ask, my dear mother is called Sister Teresa Obugu, wife of a Nigerian businessman who passed away recently in a plane crash.
She's actually looking for somebody trustworthy to help her transfer 25,000,000 (25 Million) USD of dad's money out of Chad. Would you be
interested in helping? Some money in it for ya.
Cheers,
Mr Liam Obugu

Just depends how late in the month you were born. As said it results in us all being "from" a relatively thin strip of the earth. It does
vary if you specify N or S and E or W. Mine come out as... Somewhere in the jungles of Benin with N/E or the jungle of Angola with S/E. Both N/W and
S/W are in the Atlantic
