Nice vid'. What was the weather like? I don'tlike booking this late in the year as it's a bit of a gamble weather wise.
What ratio 'rack do you have? Looked like quite a bit of hand shuffeling going on.

Wow, I wished I'd have watched your video's before Sunday could have learnt alot.
We're you really down to second for the Wiggler and twickers? Everytime I tried second I just span up or nearly lost it on the exit so had to
try carry speed in 3rd.
Also any idea of you top speed before the Wiggler? Best I managed was about 105 and had to brake well before the corner board where there was a set of
skid marks on the right.
I struggled all day to find any descent setup or grip, best session was just before 11 when after altering the tyre pressures atleast it was evenly
wild and quite fun and predictable, till it spat the idler pulley and Aux belt off at twickers!.
Fixed that at lunch and tried some toe in on the front and that felt much better and settled the front loads but the back just wouldn't
follow!
Or mayb I was just over driving it and trying to carry too much cornerspeed.

Thanks Adi, weather was great all day but to be fair iwe only ever book about 4/5 days before to make sure of it.
The rack is a std Mk2 escort so your right in the fact i am steering alot but the main difference is that i have a heavy car lump in mine and with a
quick rack it tends to be very heavy on slow speeds which will prove difficult for me when i`m running about on the roads.
That said i have thought about it(alot) and am tempted just to see if its something i can cope with
Do you have anything more booked this year?

Main reason for the second gear usage is the fact i`m running a TranX box with long 1st and 2nd gears which allows me to hit the limiter(8000rpm) in
2nd at 78mph. That said the Avon will happily grip in both the Wiggler and Twickers under full acceleration without any real drama. From what i saw of
your car i`m guessing it was running a Duratec with a nice exhaust so anything from 180 bhp upwards?? With that sort of engine in a car weighing no
more than 620 kgs it should grip like hell with the right tyres and geometry. I used to have a fair bit of trouble with the back end drifting but it
was soon sorted by dialling in half a degree of negative on the rear. If your local to the track it maybe worth calling MAC#1 Motorsport in
Sheffield(01142510116) and speaking to Mark about getting it sorted. The cost is relatively low and was the most significant upgrade to my handling to
date.
Best top speed before Wigglers was 114 mph.
P.S. I`m running 17psi all round.

Interesting you should mention the negative rear camber, that was the last thing we were going to try after altering the toe on the front improved the
feel alot, but we had an oil leak we had to cure in our day of dramas and decided it looked too hard to alter accurately at the track.
Think we ended up running 18psi in the back and 16psi in the front but that was with a really cheep guage so a descent one will be going on the Xmas
list! Along with some proper sticky tyres it deserves as the Falkens are about 8 yrs old now so Definately past their best!
Not sure what the Duratec lump is pushing out as we've not had it rolling road tuned yet it's just how i've set it up, but it does
seems to have changed the balance of the car alot from the pinto with it being lighter and further back.
A good few pointers there thank you

I reckon ditching the Falkens in favor of some 888`s would be a great start

Nice vid, but does your engine and box really move around that much?
Looking at your gear lever it looks like the whole lot is shifting under cornering.
Or have you got a sloppy gear change... I've never noticed that kind of movement on mine.
Concerned...

Gear change is a little sloppy but to be honest its the last thing i`m looking at under cornering
Think i`ll give it a check anyway....
