Classic Car Show/Autojumble @ Thoresby Hall

There's a classic car show and autojumble today (Monday) at Thoresby Hall, just off A1/A57 Worksop.
Large event with over 350 cars etc due to exhibit.
I'm going in car very shortly, as weather seems OK for day.

Well what a strange day!

Son and I went to show, was charged £10 to get in.
Directed to join classics on show but elected to use normal car park.
Show organiser berated me for not joining show, I pointed out I would not display at a show that charged me entrance money.

I didn't want to show car as I don't consider it a true classic, yes the design and concept is, but car isn't.

When we looked around there were genuine classics, but also recently constructed 'kit cars' posing in amongst the entries. MG group with 'NG' in amongst them. 'Cobra' replica in American muscle, to name a few.

Now, I'm not a snob but to my mind a 'Classic Show' is for genuine classics not kit cars. Kit Car shows are for those.

Still there was plenty to see, even if 'autojumble' bit was quite small.

Best laugh we had was on way home on A1 when it started to shower heavy for a couple of miles, I kept at 70mph and it passed over us but son was in stitches when I switched on wipers. He couldn't believe how small wipers were and how busy they looked.
Trouble was they wiped outside of screen but inside was covered in fine mist spray which he had to keep wiping off with handkerchief.
Still, we didn't get wet.
