Rider wanted to ride CBR600 against blade MK

Wanted rider in south east to race my blade Indy.
Which is quicker, say rolling start from 10mph.
Let you know which is quicker when I find someone,

not on the road, of course

a guy I work with has a cbr600 hes trying to sell - replaced by a blade.

He recons it does summat like 0-60 in 3 secs. You will need a serious car to beat that.....

Thinking of the (approx) numbers.

CBR600 = 105hp and about 170 kilos = 617 bhp / tonne

blade indy 160hp and 450 kilos = 355 bhp tonne

lets be extreme and unrealistic

blade indy = 200hp and 350 kilos = 571 bhp/tonne

seems a foregone conclusion the cbr600 is gonna pi$$ it......

Is this a pure drag race or short circuit racing?
In a drag there aint many cars that can live with a bike. On a track the gap narrows considerably with the massive braking power of the car and theoretical higher cornering speeds.
I'd help out if it was nearer...

I think it would be a drag race, maybe it should be from standstill because with car you can drop the clutch at higher revs because the car obviously will not wheelie.
So I think the car will out drag the bike for the first few metres. Also you must add the weight of the rider to the bike, and that then brings the bike closer to 250kgs.
I know you must do the same to the car also but once the object has been launched the extra horsepower will then be used on a moving objecy.
Im sure the CBR600 will win without a doubt but it will be fun though.
As for the track I think it will be down to how good the rider is on the bike how many sharp bends there are and how many straights there are. Probably the bike again would win but if I was riding the bike and you had a good driver in car then probably the car would win as I would say I am probably an average rider (which means getting my knee down on a good day) hey Im honest OK.
So to sum up good driver in car beats average rider on bike on track, good driver in car and good rider on bike probably bike wins.
Bike again wins on drag run.
I think it is all down too how much balls a rider has, because man in car (BEC) probably will push the car more to the limit then bloke on bike. Being more vunerable senses will prevail.
Anyway thats what I think, and as regardd the drag race I will let you know.

We have a hornet (10bhp less than a CBR600) and it does 0-60 in about 3.3 secs. It can out run an Elise 160 easily in a straight line but when it get to a corner the Elise catches up.

I didnt factor the weight of the driver into the locost figures either. so the differences in power to weight (minus driver) still apply but perhaps to less of an advantage.

I went to Ackworth a couple of weeks ago on my bike and followed a load of BEC's, Hellfire, MK Blade and others. I was only on my Bandit 1200 and it accelerates quicker than the cars at any speed. The cars are still very fast and its funny to watch as they all overtake and try and stay with each other, I saw some of the best manoeuvres ever!

Can't wait to get my car on the road.
