Like the idea of a set price buffet - no haggling over the bill
Think we should make it more of a mid point around Reigate area though, saves everyone a long drive (except ChrisG though - haha)

Right then - just started phoning a few places in the Reigate area. Thought a Pub might be nice and festive, and lots of good parking. First one I
spoke to sounds good, and looking around at reviews on the web seems to have great food:
Skimmington Castle
http://www.reigateandredhill.co.uk/index02.htm
They do a three course set Christmas Dinner, with choices in each course, including Turkey for the mains. for £17.95. We would give them our choices
in advance - probably with a deposit. They would sit us at two tables next to each other.
This may not be very locost, but personally I would much rather pay a little more, and sit in a nice place and get good festive food, than in an
'ethnic' restuarant with no atmosphere and lots of MSG - sorry John!!
If we want somewhere nice, and near Christmas, we will need to book it fairly soon.
A couple of Pubs are gonna fax me menu's, I'll post them when I get them.

Have to say I agree with Jasp on the location situation- as you won't be drinking Conrod it seems silly for you to be the only one in a
situation not to drive.
On those grounds though it ought to be in Guildford as more members live there than anywhere else!

There's always some bugger trying to be clever isn't there!
Anyway, just because they don't turn up on Sundays- there's a fair few other builders who live in Guildford. I can think of atleast 3
others. You're are just prejudiced!
All in all, this is Locost central!
Cheers,
Jim

Ours was booked in July BTW.
Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

Ciabata
Is that what they put on Italian fish or was it the big hairy bloke in Star Wars. Look at the thread title Chris, it was doomed from the start. How
can you organise it if you can't even spell it. .
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
