Nurburgring Road Trip
I am organising a road trip to the famous Nurburgring in Germany. If anyone will have there cars finished for July and would fancy the trip, please
let me know soon as i need to start booking ferries hotels etc...
I run another internet site and there is already a few of us who want to go.
By clicking HERE it will take you straight to our events page. Have a look and see
what you think??
I have calculated it out to cost about £600 max for the full trip, which includes all your petrol, ferry crossing, hotel, food, drink and track time.
Thats instantly halfed if there is two of you

Lots of clubs are going this year but that isnt the isue. We will still be going in July. Anyone is welcome to come with us.
I just thought it gives people on here the oppertunity to go on holiday to the ring if they wanted to go as a group

We're interested. We were thinking of going later in the year (september/october), but this might be better (depending on exact dates)

Having seen in the other thread that the PPC trip is actually £200 per car, I am now pretty tempted to come along on this one instead. I will be
talking to some mates tonight see how many of us want to go. We may leave on an earlier ferry and have a day or two longer out there. You can get it
down to £34 return if you pick the right crossings!
Cheers,
Matt.

I don't think there's any reason I have to stick with the august dates (of the PPC run) , as long as there are some other folks going I
can meet up with, that should be OK.
I have another mate who couldn't make it in August, he'll let me know ASAP if he can make it.
Alan, you have U2U.
Cheers

Having checked out all the details I'm now intersted in this trip, if matt and alister are going. I'd be interested in camping to keep the
cost down. Matt, Alister have you booked yet? and Alan, how do I book with you once I know they have? won't be in a 7, but at least i can
provide some support and carry some spares!
Ned.

All the details are on my site in the events section on the forum.

You can either book the ferry yourself instead of posting me a cheque or i can sort it all out for you?
You need to hurry up though incase the price goes up.
Ive only been looking at hotels for accomodation but ill try to have a look out for camp sites too if thats what you want.
ive found a hotel for only £109 though for 2 people and thats for 3 nights including breakfast.

Personally I fancy camping, you can't beat beer and barbecues on a campsite in summer!
Have booked my ferry tickets now, hope some more of you can make it along!

Ive added you to the list.
The only think im not too keen on about camping is all the stuff you need to take with you ie. tent, BBQ, clothes etc... If you have a small car too,
this is going to be a problem.
How many people are coming with you. I need to know so i have a total amount of people for accommodation bookings etc..
P.S. ive found a hotel for £20 a person per night, breakfast included, with an on site workshop with tools so if needs be, you can work on your car
ie. change brake pads etc...

I'm trying to get a few people from the club I run to come along, but will not know for a few days how many there are likely to be. If any
others do come though they will be in 'sensible' cars with plenty of room for luggage.
Ned mentioned he may want to come along in his 'practical' car too and I'm sure he could fit a barbecue and a tent or two in ;-) To
be honest though, with no passenger I could bring everything I'd need for a weekend in my MK without too many problems.
However, if there aren't a few others who want to camp then I'd be happy to stay in a hotel at only £20 / night.
Cheers,
Matt.

I now can't make it again as I've realised it clashes with tickets I've already bought to see Queen at hyde park
Alister, you're still more than welcome to stop over, though we normally leave for work around 8am..

Right then.
For anyone who wants to come with us, who has not yet told me, you will have to sort out your own ferry and accommodation now.
The hotel we are staying at is now fully booked, but there are plenty of others close by. The ferry is currently still £38 return so if you wanted to
come you still have the chance.
Please let me know if you decide to come and please visit the events section HERE for all the
information you need.
Thanks, Alan
