Shockers upside down?

How do you know if your shockers are upside down?
I have GAZ shocks at the front with the adjusters at the top.
Spax gas ones in the rear with the adjusters at the top.
Right or wrong?
Also, what difference does it make?

Unless you have special dampers the main body should be at the bottom

My Daughter has taken over production of the damn fine Triton race seats and her contact email is emmatrs@live.co.uk.

shocks can have adjusters at the top or the bottom, the spring platform is normaly at the bottom, and if you run a shock upside down, thats not designed to, you can end up aerating (sp?) the oil...not a good thing to do

Will having them upside down change the handling?
