Thats only if youre one of the first 10 entries, its even steeper if you take your time entering.

yep did you see fifth gear a while back ?
bought a lambo twin turbo then paid super super chips to tune it and all the other commercial companies trying to get it to do 200+ couldnt do it gear
box kept braking
so tiff get 6 other mixed cars to have a go a couple brake the others dont manage (terrible weather conditions)
then this chap pullsup with his lumberjacket on and his 1000bhp cosworth sierra 206mph no probs one hand on the steering wheel

were hoping to get as many Locosts as possible to stoneleigh this year to mark the tenth anniversary.
The problem with having a mass driving event is that where ever you start from (or finish for that matter) it's always masively inconvenient for
somebody!

Well if you start and end in the middle its the least inconvienient for the most people!
Perhaps start at stoneleigh and head off for the weekend, returning on sunday?

Well said the man from the midlands!
If there's enough interest I think we could sort something out - maybe a cruise on the Sunday night around Stoneleigh and it's
environs?
Cheers

Looks like the only people to have signed up are the organisers and a couple of mates!
Sounds like a great money making oppourtunity im sure they could get a great discount at hotels for 100 people a night and the food wouldnt cost alot!

I like the idea of a Locost Rally starting from this years Stoneleigh Kit Car show.
That sounds great!!
Some of the Midland Locosters could generate a list of pubs and routes to and from said boozers and then we could all travel there together on the
Saturday evening.

Sorry - just to get back to the original thread - how do they intend to do 600 miles a day without braking the speed limit? Cos if they do you can
guarantee there will be thousands of bill waiting to nick them.
Seems utterly, utterly pointless to me - at least in Europe you've go some chance of not being nicked - they are a little more tolerant and
there are many more long open road with far fewer bill and cameras.

I got the impression that breaking the speed limit was par for the course with any cannonball type event.
Its not often that you see someone abiding by the speed limit on a UK motorway nowadays anyway

ERM 600miles per day at 50mph is only 12 hours driving per day. So no one needs to speed and no one loses their licence and no one
beleives a bloody word of what I've just typed

If you do a Locost Rally, you could have various starts points - eg Lakeside for SE/Heathrow for SW etc and these two could meet up on route, meeting
another couple of local groups closer to Stoneleigh.
Is that clear
Perhaps a new thread should be started for this!

Organise the Locost as per the "Old fashioned " MonteCarlo - numerous start points them meeting up for final run into Stoneleigh.
