The shows not too bad, wasn't as good as last year I dont think.

MK have a lovely looking car on their stand.

Personally I thought the £8 entry fee was a bit steep for people without kits as there's not that much on offer inside really, but overall a good few hours worth of fun.

Check out the 'stunt' show, its good for a laugh.

Probably not as good as last year, but I went on Sunday last year in a kit car and in a convoy of eight.
I got most of the bits I was looking for though and a few more as you do

I went today so will miss a few people from here going tomorrow. Sorry Chaps!

Got nearly everything I needed, and wouldnt have needed to go if I had not set fire to the car (Welding spark onto a blue paper towel sitting in the box of rubber piping and extrusions etc which was in the car).

So moral of the story... keep your workshop TIDY, and dont store stuff in the car!.

Hope to be finished to go to Stoneleigh in it. hope to camp for the weekend there.

As for Detling, a nice show, with enough traders to get most of what you may need. not terribly large, but still worth a visit.

My first time at Detling.

Went on me own - Norman No Mates me

Bought 6 M8x80 set screws for my plenum.

Great price if you went by kit - free, first time I've ever got into a show for nowt.

Was just about the right size for a couple of hours. I turned up just to get the car out for a drive.

About 20 manufacturers, loads of other stands and for some very strange reason, a chavved up RS Focus. Couldn't understand that!

show seemed ok, trade stands were good and got lots of little bits i was after, a fair few cars outside to wander round (spotted your dave even though i missed seeing you in person) though i felt the manufacturers were a bit on the thin side - obviously saving the good stuff for launch at stoneleigh in a few weeks time. a few noticable absences and presumably due to lack of space the stands of some manufacturers were smaller than i'd expected/remembered.

Worth going if you're relatively local, but i wouldn't travel too far to go to it - bit like stafford i suppose but slightly better imho.

Ned.

Was my first visit to a kit car show, even the gf didn't get to bored, or at least she claimed not lol!
Was some good cars to have a nose round and had a chat with the mk chap about my upcoming build.
Purposley left the wallet at home otherwise I would have spent a fortune on bits lol

I thought the show was a dissappointment - same old stuff that has been there for the last couple of years with nothing surprising (apart from the price of a bacon roll ). The main reason I went was for the stalls where you can get all the widgets, whatsits and doo dahs that you can't find anywhere else.
The highlight for me was the 'Alutight' demo - ally welding with a propane blowtorch which is really simple and strong.

Cheers,
Raz

My Car was on the Mk stand it was very busy sunday morning until around 2.30pm.

Then went dead,

Must say glad i did not have to pay to get in £8 is a rip off and i am sure the show wont last if this is what you will get for your money.

Shame as it could be a good show if was better supported by suppliers of parts and manufacturers.

Still hope you liked the car??????

Cheers
Sean

You couldn't pwn your way out of a wet paper bag, with "PWN ME!!" written on it, from the "pwned take-away" which originally contained one portion of chicken tikka pwnsala and the obligatory free pwnpadom.
