I went last year for the first time, but I really only went to talk to the MK guys about the order I'd just placed with them. We didn't
think there would be as much to do, so didn't factor in enough time for it.
This year though, we'll go and have more of a look around and probably buy a few bargains as well.

Great place to meet other builders, especially Locosters. Not so many kit suppliers and trade stands when compared to Stoneleigh, so not such a good
place to take a shopping list.
Generally a good atmosphere, with funfair rides for the kiddies - generally a better family environment than Stoneleigh (IMHO).

I might actually make it to Newark as well this year as I should be at home that weekend. Its a month too early for me to have the car ready though

We all camp there for the weekend. Cant moan at the prices to get into ANY kit car show, even if camping and in the tin top.
Land Rover shows are around £60 just for entry and 2 nights camping, or even 1 nights camping. In My Opinion a rip off so I dont go anymore.
Kit shows are damn good value for money, especially if in your kit car.
Newark is generally a lot warmer than Stoneleigh weatherwise.
Its also a smaller show. However, its a nice place, and just off the A1 at Newark, easy to find and get to.
Us Luego lads (and lasses) use the shows to get together have a camp, a BBQ, and a couple of beers.
Usually a good Sat night with Bangers, Burgers and beers
Once you have your car built, you have more time to socialise.
See you all there.
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
Best Regards
Geoff

I haven't been before and won't be going again this year as it clashes with Le Mans.
I would like to go but not prepared to miss LM for it.
Summer's here!!!!

I went to newark for the first time last year.
I thought it was a very good show. Less traders there. I find stoneleigh to be good but a too many cars to look at..
Im definatley going this year. Not in me locost unless the dvla and vosa are very very good to me.

I got the impression last year that Neewark is more about the manufacturers and owners clubs rather than the traders - I think there's another
show later on in Harrogate that may have more traders.

Never been myself, did Detling and stoneleigh last year though.
Detling was a bit of a disappointment and I spent all my spare money within the first couple of hours at stoneleigh then got bored lol.
Me and the gf did Warwick castle the day before though and spent the night in a hotel, so we were nice and refreshed to scoot home just after
lunch.
Oh yeah, I had also arranged to meet a chap from the WSCC forum there to collect some bits he was selling (sierra he said).
Got home to find they were all cortina bits
Was a blessing in disguise in the end though as I sold them on for a healthy profit!

You couldn't pwn your way out of a wet paper bag, with "PWN ME!!" written on it, from the "pwned take-away" which originally contained one
portion of chicken tikka pwnsala and the obligatory free pwnpadom.

Newark is biased towards owners clubs. There are usually a good few Locosts around. A few years back, there were more than 30.
There is usually a live band on Sat evening - make sure it's not Coldplace though, they were crap last year!
I'll be there for the weekend, mainly 'cos it's my local show.
Yes Harrogate has been cancelled this year.
