Ewan,
I'm supposed to be working the weekend of the 19th, but this may slip to the 26th.... I'll probably won't know for sure until
around the 16th.
Hopefully I'll be there and maybe this time I can be one of the ones getting drunk!
I've texted Dunc, he should be able to make it either date.

I should be able to make either meeting. Been having a few ideas in my head that needs further discussion with the Central Scotland lads, maybe you
could give them some thought.
I've managed to purchase a few large items over the last few months, lathe, vertical band saw, power hacksaw, vertical drill, grinder, etc. No
milling machine, yet. Also got a compressor, plasma cutter, chop saw, various air driven tools and spray guns lifting gear etc.
What I'm thinking is I've got nowhere to use these things yet and I'm trying to secure a unit, with or without 3 phase power, to be
able to use this stuff. If I do secure somewhere maybe we can pool some of our stuff together and use, a sort of free resource machine shop for
locosting, or temp storage for some parts to stop us tripping over them in the garage. I know some of us have these facilities at work but this can be
difficult to use sometimes. Anyway, just thoughts rattling around my empty head at the moment.
Comments would be useful.

Spoke to Ronnie and he may well have the parts by now
as for the chassis, didn't get started until wednesday but all that remains to make is LA, LB, LC & LD
together with the 3/4 bars at the rear (W1 & W2) and i'll have to get the 3/4 tube to form the panel edge at the rear
after that i need to decide on the gearbox type before i make the transmission tunnel.
would have done more but i stupidly burnt my face with the mig and gave friday a miss.
Gonna start on the cleaning of hubs et.c the week and will chase up the drive axle brackets.
Floors not a problem ( as you know ) but i may come over just to check a few things

I've got the two engine hoists at the moment, 1 heavy and 1 very heavy but both fold. Mark D is kindly storing the very heavy one for me, the
other is in a lock up in stirling. Let me know when you need it and we can arrange something.

Cheers Dunc and Ian, I have managed to borrow (only for a few days) a crane from a workshop in falkirk, but I will probably be in touch soon about
getting a shot of yours as I have no doubt that it will have to come back out before I get it running.
Cheers again.

blade possibilities
you should come for beer motherwell in only 25mins from where we meet.
As for a blade one of the guys from my motorcycle club (633 squadron) has binned his blade, big time at knockhill and it may well be up for grabs,
complete in post accident condition.
I'll chase it up for our next meet as Mark D is also interested.
Also getting quite a bit of help from a local fabricator ( Hyperweld, Denny) , these are good guys so there is a bit to update you all but will have
to do so before too many Stellas coz after 5 i can hardly talk never mind talk sensibly or wall for that matter.
and believe me it's cheap for what it is.
So the more people to contribute to the group the better.
Plus a better excuse for longer pub time and of course ( more beer )

so who is actually coming on the 26th?
Right guys its commitment time, I'll be there as will Ricky Kay.
Hornet if you still have the drive axle there are a few interested parties who I think will be attending the meet.
I'm still awaiting an update on the blade but should be further into it by next friday
See you all there

Ewan,
I'll try my best, but as mentioned previously, instead of working this weekend (19th) I have to work next weekend.
Hopefully I should be able to get to the pub, but I won't be able to have a drink (no change there!).
