S. Herts - Classics on the green
Classics on the Green with Carters Steam Fair Sunday 16th September 2007 10am to late.
This will be our second event on Croxley Green, Nr Watford, Herts this year and again not to be missed as Carters Steam Fair is the best traditional
fair in the country with a fleet of old lorries and rides dateing from the 1800s. Last year saw the ark ride complete with showmans engine for the
first time since it was restored along with the super car dogems and steam yatchs.
Last year we had over 800 vehicles turn up on the day covering all types of interesting vehicles from Vintage Cars, Classic Cars, Super Cars, Kit
Cars, Bikes, and large commercials.
Again this year we will be holding a special feature of Scammell Lorries, and hope to have the largest collection of Scammells in Watford since their
Tolpits Lane factory closed in 1988.
We have been in discussion with the Scammell Register who have informed us that they are holding a gathering / meeting on the site during the course
of the Saturday of that weekend, so if you worked at the Tolpits Lane site pop up and have a chat.
