Hicost not so good
Just spoken to Janet, James (Hicost) is not so good. I idid check that he wanted his condition generally known:
He developed toxic shock syndrome today which can be very serious - blood pressure dropped right off and lots of other nasties.
They have moved him to Brighton General ICU - he's getting a blood transfusion to try to sort it out.
One of the nurses told Janet that she thinks he will be fine, but it a very scary situation.
She will ring me tomorrow and give me an update, and as he's local to me now I'll go to see him as soon as they let me.
I'll get a ward name and address for the hostipal as soon as he's moved from ICU so we can get some cards to him, I'm sure it would
be appreciated - maybe even some get well goodies.
Let me know if we want a general wip round to get him some flowers/chocolates/new electric heater for car etc/etc - ideas very welcome, and I'm
ahppy to do the leg work.
I'll post again as soon as I hear more.

Just been for a quick visit - he's sat up in a chair but looks like sh*t, with lots of tubes sticking in him and machines that go
'ping'. Apparently yesterday was very touch and go to whether he would make it or not. Still, his now hopefully on the mend, but I think
he'll be in a while.
So gets those cards sent and show your support.....

Jasper, as you have all ready visited, is it ok to just visit, or do you need to book a time ?(itu and all that), also do you think it's ok for
us locost 'friends' to visit him, or do the medics want to keep it quiet for him for a while ?
Cheers Jasper

I will Jon....
Visits are fine, but they may have to be short for a little while, and no large groups, 2 at a time. Basically anytime after 11am till late,
he's in his own room now as well.
My visit was literally 5 mins long - they had just spent 45mins moving him to the room and getting him sorted out and in the chair, and he had really
had it by the time I got in there.
I think he's gonna be there a while as it's still pretty serious, if anybody would like to chip in to a get well fund then u2u me and
I'll give you my address for contributions. Inital thought was for a load of glossy mags with plenty of fit birds and fast cars in them, but any
other ideas welcome.

Has anyone got a definate address where a card will mget to him?
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Mark,
I have U2U'd you his home address.
7 out of 10 people suffer with hemorrhoids. Does that mean the other 3 enjoy them?

I dont often check the clubs bit, or I would have expressed sympathy earlier.
I only met Hicost for a few minutes at Newark, and he seemed a nice guy. I hadnt realised that the obviously nasty scalding could get quite as bad.
Bit of a shock seeing that - im definatly gonna have to do summat about my mini heater pipe routing now.
If anyone want to u2u me his current addy I'll get a card off to him too.
lots of sympathy.
Steve
