Interim WLM Newlands?
Just wondered if anyone was up for an 'interim' Newlands meet, maybe the coming Sunday or the one after. With Stoneleigh coming up it
would be the last one till June, and I think I remember somebody saying they wouldn't mind a pre Stoneleigh 'shakedown'.......any
takers?

Newlands Corner is a 'beauty spot' on the A25 just east of Guildford, where the west London locosters often meet on the 1st Sunday of the
month - very popular with lots of bikers clubs too. I'm sure someone cleverer than me will be along to post up a map if you need it......

Geoff - great minds think alike! I was thinking along the same lines, as the April meeting was washed out, and Detling too.
I've just looked at two different weather sites and the forecast for Guildford on Sunday is showers... given that "20% chance of light
showers" last Saturday at Detling tunred out to mean "thunder, lightning, heavy rain and hail" maybe it would be better to aim for
the following Sunday (27th April)?

27th looks good to me, as now had my rolling road session so not so worried about cooking the engine. Goes like stink, by the way. Also need to find
out where this B & B place is located!! Ray.
To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

I just looked at a few different forecasts for Guildford for tomorrow:
BBC - Heavy rain... but if you click "5 day forecast" and then "tomorrow" it changes to Bracknell and seems to indicate light
rain
UK.weather.com - 9am cloudy, 12:00 mostly cloudy, both with 20% chance of rain (this is the site I used when I got soaked at Detling after seeing 20%
chance of light rain...)
Metcheck - cloudy, 4.1mm of rain between 10am and 1pm.
I think I'll look out the window tomorrow morning before deciding.

Thanks Mac... nice to meet you
Amazingly enough, my cover kept off almost all the rain, and it didn't rain on my way home!
