Some nice cars of course, but overall I wa a bit dissaponted with the turnout yesterday considering the weather was OK.
But I don't care because I got my bargains
Both in the picture below.
New silencer mega bargain, an MNR Co cast off and a nice big mat to lie on and fit it. Wish I'd had that when I built the car. £7 for the mat and
not much more for the silencer, which took 1/2 hour to fit, result

Not much there
Most the jumble was covered over (cant blame 'em)
Dunno if there were any more stalls on Sunday?
Didn't miss owt. (I wasted a tenna and 80mile of diesel)

As has been said - pretty disappointing turn out on saturday - due to the weather...
Also, a lot of the traders/manufaturers werent there? even CBS were missing!
sun was out on sunday but very windy. don't know how many more turned up because I left at 10am... and then broke down 20 miles down the
road....again...
A Big thanks to the lads though (can't remember everuones names sorry), was made to feel very welcome.

I went to bag some bargains off the MNR guys. I emailed them and told them what I was after and arranged to meet at their wagon on Saturday evening.
When I got there, the camp was empty. I went to the stand in the hall on Sunday morning and was sent to the wagon, who sent me back to the stand, who
sent me back to the wagon.......they then told me they'd sold everything during the day on Saturday. Goodo!
Other than that chasing of wild geese, it was a bit quiet and very windy. I've never seen so many broken gazebos.....

Rather damp and windy. Still, good to see some familiar faces (and some new ones too!)

of electrics
Back up there Sat afternoon wet n cold

Ooops on our return Sunday what a mess
a load of twisted crap alloy lay in a heap

Yep took me 2 hours to get there to face winds and rain and as said not many sellers and showers. Was also disappointed about CBS, SVC were crammed in
a little tent outside and what few people turned up in their cars had them covered. What got me though was they seemed to have tried padding the place
out with a craft fair! The steam engines at the gates were okay but very small and not doing much but the wooden trains in the show hall? What was
that about. A dragged out 2 hours trawl and another 2 hours drive back. Worst show I've been to that, waste of a tenner getting in!

Quite frankly I thought it was rubbish.
Ok, I went on saturday and got wet through going and coming back, but it wasn't that.
It's a few years since I've been to Newark (it usually clashes with Le Mans) but the show was less than a third of the size it was the
last time I went. The padding was pathetic, ok I could just about understand the steam engines but trainsets? - in the main hall?
Even the craft fair was a bit thin, and there wasn't even a fudge stall!
On the positive side, it's the first time I've seen all three of the kit car magazines at the same show for many years - are the arguments
over?
Dissapointing for me
cheers
Chris
Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!
