Yorkshire go karting
Right then, everyone welcome but the tracks i know are mainly in leeds/bradford/wakefield. Good ones in all three.
So who is interested and is weekend afternoon or weekday evening preferable?
Let me know or any suggestions/ideas welcome

Joel - any ideas on prices, and what you get for your cash?
They may do deals if we have enough bods to take over the whole curcuit for a couple of hours?
Also, can we weigh down the lighter members of LB, to give the bigger ones a chance?!
Weekday evening would be my pref, but can do weekend if necessary.

ballasting is not a problem for me, but i doubt they would let you carry weights around cos it would be hard to secure them.
its around £20 in most places. my favs are pole position in leeds, the outdoor on in bradford, and F1 indoor karting in wakefield.
some do 10 qualifying sessions and 50 lap races, which is always fun...!
anyone else?

Weight is an advantage in go carting as grip is the most important thing.
Joel, You've just posted this 'cos you fancy yourself as the undiscovered driving talent of yorkshire don't you?
You may be in for a shock, several of the Yorkshire Massive are very acclomplished Drivers in everything from carts to thunder saloons, you might get
your ass whipped.
You'd beat me obviously.
Which is why I won't be coming, or at least not participating.
And the best tracks are in South Yorks.
Cheers
Chris
Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

its also a shitter though, cos the acceleration out of hairpins is appaling even when the cart is empty...

The track in Selby is good - much wider than Wakefield which allows for slightly easier overtaking. £30 for a race session, 20 people allows for an
exclusive session. Alternatives are £10 for 15 mins or £18 for 30 mins.

No specific prefered day, but i can't usually manage Monday or Thursday evening. Wednesday can be difficult early on (that is why I generally
get to the Yorkshire meet late!).

well, im still up for it, i know mark is, so lets get things going!
I dont know where the selby place is, or their phone number, so someone will have to post them, or organise it themselves!
Absolutely anytime is good for me provided i get some notice (a few days).
if andy mark and andrew could post their prefered times, and anyone else who is interested, then we can make a move!
anyone?!
heres the link as provided by andyps:

personally im not too bothered about having exclusive use of the track, but around 30 to 40 mins is good for me. anyone whose been there got a
suggestion for a good format?
edit 2: £25 for 45mins practice sounds good! cheap as you like...

Hope this doesn't turn into a "Southern style Chrismas do" type thing!!
Evenings ok - but as Mrs H wants to thrash my ass on the track we need to organise a baby sitter so need a few days notice.
Weekend ok, but same deal really!!

Its a provisional yes but cant garuantee cause i think the night shifts will probably start monday. Let you know as soon as i do, but if its an open
event with other people then it might not matter to them exactly how many there is. Andrew.

Shouldn't this thread be renamed
Yorkshire (don't) go karting?
See, If I don't arrange it, it doesn't get arranged.
Tut tut tut.
