It varies. Sometimes a clicked on thread will open more or less immediately, other times I get a game of Freecell on the go to have something to do
while I'm waiting

Not really relevant though. The occasional slowness has been going on for a long time, and stilll happens now

You want slow, use Eclipse internet, slower than a slow pi$$ed slug going up a 85 degree icy hill tied to a brick against a huricane.
Cheers,
Bob

So are you saying that the site has been fixed now, and that that was what the maintenance was for?

He seams to be saying the site totaly died, and it took a while to fix. Sorry.
- Howaver as you say, it doesnt really comment on and current slowness. Although i havent notice any as such.

Errrr no.......the site crashed suddenly..kaput...dead.....on Tuesday evening at around 21:45 hours.
ChrisW worked until the early hours of Wednesday morning to give you all something to read whilst he repaired....
The site came back on Wednesday evening (apart from replies/new posts).
ChrisW then worked until just before dawn this morning to get that last part of the site working.
The site crashed momentarily this afternoon which was then rectified by Luke......
I have not had any slowness since then....
although it is worth mentioning that at peak times a certain amount of slowness is to be expected....
It would help enormously if the relevant posts/threads were read before posting...

i varies for me, sometimes i can come onto the site and it will be lightsaber quick (so couldn't help myself
) but other time it can be very
slow, is it down to how busy the site is at all?

4......Guy who works with ChrisW at his 'proper' job, always a 'good-egg' when it comes to the frustrating, head-scratching, IT
techie type problems!
