Invisible paint?
Airhead - 30/4/10 at 09:58 AM

I was wondering if someone had been daubing my posts with invisible paint as my images have vanished - there isn't even a placeholder...

Most specifically this thread http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=134827

Other peoples images show up and my hosting is fine as the image shows up in a browser window. Any ideas?

No idea whatsoever.

I can't see anything and if you try to open the pictures it says they don't exist.

is the webhost that you keep your pictures up and running?

I noticed that it is not the locost website.

If I go directly to http://www.photopail.spiderwebdesign.co.uk/ which is where you are hosting there are only pictures of a red mitsubishi 4x4 in the album that I can see.

The picture (rolled green mx5 iirc) used to work.

Thanks chaps - it is me being a total 'tard.

I was trialing some gallery software on my web hosting and had pointed it at one of my existing subdomains - the one with my images in...

Thanks for your help

Matt

Barry uses invisible paint but calls it lacquer...

On a more serious note - how the heck do I edit my posts now to reflect the new URL? I can't see an edit button anywhere...

Edit button disappears after 48hrs (I think that's the time limit) to prevent people vandalising the forum by deleting all their threads if they decide they'd like to throw their toys out of the pram and take their ball home.

Ahhhh - good idea.

Would a forum admin have privileges or access to the database to edit the URL for me?

It is just a case of replacing the word "images" with the word "images" on those two posts...
