I keep getting the following error message at random when I go round this site:

This happens most often when trying to open a forum or topic. I can usually get to the page by other routes, e.g. by clicking on the 'last poster' icon, so the target page does exist. This has happened on various PCs and when using various different browsers.

Last time this happened was around 12:30 - 12:35, if that helps.

i too have this, maybe once a week since ages ago. In my opinion its a hiccup, rare enough not to bother me and also easily solved - refresh or the back button solves it instantly. Im more annoyed by my own personal bug that crashes random forums. My comp stops connecting to various sites. It seems to depend on the type of forum software being used as some forums never suffer it. even that isnt the end of the world though, as i just bugger off and browse somewhere else for approx 10 mins till it all starts working again!

But by far the worst problem is NTL lying about how fast my link is - its shite and slow.

i have never had any of the problems outlined i use IE6 on XP corporate

IE 6 and Win 2000... no problems here

had it twice this morning, first when hitting the back button from readinga thread, the other just now when i went to hit reply to post button! so about 5 to 10 and 10 am today.

I think it's the server having the odd hiccup. Don't worry, I'm moving the site to yet another box next week sometime. We're using too much bandwidth so I'm shifting it to Redbus in Docklands where it's cheaper

It'll be a nice clean install of Apache (the web server) and MySQL (the database backend) so hopefully that will sort out the problems.

EDIT: Just checked the stats. 30GB so far this month, just over 45GB average monthly usage over the last six months. Good job I own the ISP - if this had been a customer's site it would have cost them over £300 so far this year just for the bandwidth!
