Who's online
iank - 19/11/11 at 06:51 PM

Just noticed the 'who's online' box at the bottom of the front page and forums screens.

Never realised how many 'guests' we get compared to registered folk.

When i first joined this forum it was like that

Humbug - 19/11/11 at 07:21 PM

Presumably I was one of the "guests", though I am a member. I usually don't log in when I browse the forums, unless I want to look at a for sale thread or post something myself.

So, out of the 150 guests, I wonder how many of teh guests are actually members who just haven't logged in, like me?

It might be a peak given the current edition of Complete Kitcar has a review if the LeBala with a mention of locostbuilders.

Who was on first (not online) and watt was on second, but I can never remember the rest.

Ben_Copeland - 19/11/11 at 07:37 PM

Useful for stalking people

with the original 'who's online' button, when you clicked on a user it would show you the actual page they were reading - even if it was a u2u! Think thats why it was removed ages ago.

But you couldn't view the u2u!

I find I'm often unintentionally logged out so would be counted as a guest - not sure if that is a glitch from LCB or my browser ?

\I don't know who was third, so the finish line read:

1st - Who
2nd - Watt
3rd - I don't know who

It is indeed back!

(After many, many requests I might add!)

I might even do something really funky with it and load people's avatars into the list. Will see how much inspiration I have tomorrow as I've been coding away since about 5pm today on various bits and bobs for the site.

I'll be interested to see how well the 'who's online' thing works over the next couple of days. I think I've fixed all the bugs in the code, but until it's used in anger for a few days I won't know!

Cheers, Chris

Ben_Copeland - 20/11/11 at 07:14 AM

Chris. How come there's so many guests? Can't be that many people guesting at 7am surely? (70 guests)
