It'd be useful if we could edit the original post in the for sale section days/weeks after it was originally psted - I wanted to just add another item to my existing thread without creating a new one, but can't do that in the original post.

Also so that we can put 'sold', or as I may end up doing "now on ebay" etc.

There was a good reason why it was changed. Search for Posts by Calvinx, I should add if its not clear that Calvinx had thousands of post on here and deleted them all following a row.

I think it would be useful though to edit for sale posts in particular.

It would be useful to allow editing old post but only in the for-sale section, but as above not generally across the forum. No idea if that's easy with the forum software here.
