How about sending an E-mail to the recipiant of a U2U msg?

mookaloid - 30/6/05 at 12:22 PM

Why would you want to do that then?

ned - 30/6/05 at 12:34 PM

for those who don't frequent the forum i suppose. can't think why they wouldn't though

Ned.

scoobyis2cool - 30/6/05 at 12:42 PM

I like that idea, I sometimes don't notice when I've got a new one

Been asked for loads of times... i think its difficult to do. I know Chris said something about why it's not done

mookaloid - 30/6/05 at 03:07 PM

Why not just send an email then?

not a fan of unnecessary work........

How about making the 'You have U2U' caption larger and flashing?

Mick (with very recent experience of a U2U not being noticed)

if ever implemented it could always be a simpe tick box in your profile's control panel, default set to off, but you could turn it on to activate emails to you to alert you of new u2u's.

just a thought..

Ned.

If wishes were fishes,we'd all cast nets.

If you're an infrequent visitor of this forum and are worried that you might miss a u2u message, the simple answer is to visit the forum more often.

as a funny aside, i sent chris a u2u 12 days ago and he still hasnt read it! (outbox says 'not read' maybe he needs a flashing sign too

It's absolut bullspit! Every other forum I frequent has email notification when a personal message is recieved. I don't know why we're paying Chris all this money for bugger all service!
Oh....that's right, we're not!
