Over the past day or so I've been getting a 'too many users' error from this site's database - is it just me, or is something amiss?

not just you mate. There was a thread about it the other day, but database problems caused it to be deleted!

I believe that the database can only support a certain number of connections/access at once. I get it weekly.

I only log on in work hours - never a problem ... yet !

last night i was getting loads of database/connection/too many user errors. site was pretty much unusable apart from two replies I managed to get through from hittin refresh...

Yep, also seing the same problems occaisionaly. Still getting the huge pauses on a fairly regular basis when I click on a thread or forum.
