SVA / DVLA sticky
DaveFJ - 31/3/08 at 10:32 AM

Can I suggest an SVA /DVLA application sticky?

I have spent ages trawling through searches trying to work out how to fill in the forms for both SVA application and DVLA...

It could maybe include info like suggested weights and top speed/peak power for different engines....

I dont think it would be added to this site because iirc there is a new one on the way

search for this - there is kit car web site that goes trough the form filling.

Total Kit-Car have a section that is good for some SVA help......
They are updating it.....but nonetheless still helpful!

Linky here

The permutations of our cars with regard to weights and engine speeds are so vast, I don't think it would help to have a sticky....

Hope the linky helps...

Cheers Fozzie

that was one of the best sources of help... although it is out of date and the form has changed since then...

finding what to put in axle weights and top speed/power was the biggest imbuggerance

Yep....... It is out of date I suppose thats why they have said they are updating it
But still, some FAQ's are answered....

I would think a google of your engine at 'standard' mode (non modified) would give some good parameters ..but axle weights.....well......yep, that is the dilemma
