right im at the stage where im going to start my aly side panels and just noticed i havent done the ss1 and cp11 arch part of the chassis i do remember leaving it cos it gave me a headache last time any one got any tips of how to get a nice cerv or bend ss1

its only thin gauge metal so its quite easy to bend by hand ( wear safety gloves as its quite sharp ), I,ve also heard someone used a bin bag full of sand & bent the metal over that, or tack weld it at one end & gently put pressure to it so that you can tack weld the other end ( if that makes sense ?).

thanks for the reply managed to do it after mucking about since 12 and very happy with how it turned out. im not sure if ive been using the wrong metal, i used 25x3mm flat and 1.5mm steel sheet but even if i have im happy still. can finely move on now!

Nice one

Just a thought......i presume you are building the chassis as per book spec with an ALI rear tub?

If fitting a GRP tub from Saturn then you don,t need the SS1 parts .
