blockhead_rich - 29/4/18 at 09:05 AM

With a heavy heart and due to an impending divorce (:mad, it's time to sell my Velocity that I built a while back.

New 20v engine install nearly completed!
New 20v engine install nearly completed!

20v Silvertop 4age engine with Omex 600 ECU, recon 5 speed g'box, cosworth limited slip diff, discs all round, etc, etc

Reg date: 1st Aug-8-2016

I'd post more photos if I could remember how too

7,126 miles

Full MOT which runs out in May next year (No advisories).

It was a quality build as I'm an engineer (I know you're probably hear that before and we're all engineers)....

Mostly new or recon parts used!!

No track days, little use in the wet (or dry come to that).....

No, what's it worth?? I have no idea, millions I hope.....

Make me a serious offer more than £5k but I expect less than £10k

It will go on e bay as soon as I've given it a clean and polish....

Located in Colchester, viewing weekends only (no test Pilots I'm afraid).

Want to know more, then please ask away....

Rich

If you have any 20v spares I may be interested in them.

Good luck with the sale, I hope someone on here buys it so that we can keep sharing 20v knowledge.

Cheers!

I might have some spare parts, probably gasket sets if you're interested. I know that they are hard to get and £££

ian locostzx9rc2 - 29/4/18 at 01:22 PM

I would advertise it on pistonheads and classified ad on e bay for best coverage it should be worth 7/8 k I would guess

blockhead_rich - 30/4/18 at 05:08 AM

Car with better photos is now advertised on piston heads. Let me know if you have any comments, questions or hints.
Hope you all have a good week 🤞
Rich

Suns out, any takers 🤔

blockhead_rich - 3/5/18 at 06:22 AM

There are better photos of my car on the eBay or piston heads adverts by the way.

blockhead_rich - 6/5/18 at 07:03 AM

Priced reluctantly reduced to £8,995.00 Ono.

blockhead_rich - 11/5/18 at 05:03 AM

Any hints or tips on selling my vehicle other than reducing the price? It’s advertised on eBay, piston heads, and classicandcar......

Cheers
Rich

Hi rich pictures look ok maybe worth taking some more pictures when the suns out im guessing if you can hold out for 9k ish it may sell but I reckon it’s probably worth 7/8 k be patient I’m sure your get a buyer soon

blockhead_rich - 11/5/18 at 06:06 AM

Cheers Ian. Much better photos are included on my adverts but let me know if you think I still need better ones....

blockhead_rich - 2/6/18 at 06:06 AM

Still available, price reduced to £8495 Ono.

Beamerboy - 4/6/18 at 06:43 PM

Good luck with sale looks great

blockhead_rich - 25/6/18 at 09:37 PM

Car still available now priced at £7495.00 Ono. Advert is on e bay, Pistonheads, gumtree, car and classic.

Seems like it’s difficult to sell these cars if you’re not prepared to give them away. Which would put me off building another perhaps 🤔

Thanks for any hints and tips you may have.....

bi22le - 25/6/18 at 09:41 PM

Sorry to see it dropping so low.

It only takes 1 buyer to get a deal, as some smart pr!ck once said!

If it's worth it, and you can wait, then you will have to just sit it out.

What are you going onto?

ian locostzx9rc2 - 26/6/18 at 05:17 AM

It’s a buyers market at the moment I’m afraid if your not in a hurry hang fire someone will come ago and buy it .

Hi there,

I couldn't be sure if I am in the market for another kit, or not. Currently trying to convince myself that I need one for the summer, lol.

Any interest in a Part Ex with my 2010 Alfa 159 Ti 2.0 JTDm 170bhp?

It's the top of the range car with full heated black leather (piped and embroidered with the red alfa logo, looks stunning), front & rear parking sensors, 19" alloys, button start, boost gauge, etc. Full MOT. 102k but loads of service history inc stamped book and receipts, cambelt, etc. Definitely not the usual rubbish that you find out there, original and not been messed about with as owned by Alfa enthusiast.

I'd recommend making a YouTube video of the car, detailed walk round, engine running, test drive. Costs nothing to do and most sites allow adding a link. I did this for selling my landy and everyone who called of which they're were many had viewed the vid. I got exactly what I was after for it, no haggling. Was my very first YouTube vid and it took me all of 15 mins to have it live not having a clue what I was doing.

Hi, sorry but I’m not in the market for another car or trade in.
