Joking aside

I once ran myself over. Yes, I did say that "I ran myself over".

I was at a car auction, and the cars were being started and put in line. The driver got out to go fetch another car and left this V6 Omega running in the line.

I went over to it, popped the bonnet, and then lifted the bonnet. After a quick look round the engine bay (you used to be able to see "things" like engines and the likes on cars "back then", I reached for the throttle mounting, and gave it a quick to turn to listen to the thing rev. The problem was, it was an automatic that had been left in Drive, with the handbrake only just on holding the car back. It only held it back on tickover though, and when I revved it the bloody thing ran me over.

you shouldnt do, its scandilous that they left it in drive, to the point that you should have sued them.
