I have been lucky enough to be involved in the restoration of a BRM P154 as driven by Pedro Rodriguez (pic in archive) in the last three races of the
1970 Can-Am series. There is no bodywork present with the car but the customer has some of the moulds. The moulds have been stored outside since the
late 70's and are in a very poor condition. I have been repairing/replacing the moulds and yesterday laid-up the doors. So fingers crossed for
how the turn out when I pull them.
That must be a fun project - I often wondered about the air stacks on those cars sitting up in the air stream and facing in different directions - must have seriously messed up the air flow to the different cylinders and have had quiet a bad impact on power.
That sounds like a great project to be involved in.
I never knew of BRM until last year when I went to the open day in Bourne, was feckin amazing, been in love with them ever since

It's one of those jobs that has the potential to become a real headache but I just couldn't miss such an opportunity.

Quick update. Pulled the two doors and all in all fairly happy with the outcome. Will now pop them back in the moulds and let them sit for a couple of
weeks whilst I get on with the bigger bits

The mould for the Nose Section arrived and it aint pretty
looks like it's going to need quite a lot of work before I can start pulling parts
from it.

It's easy mate, go into your photo archive, click on the photo you want. When that opens up there's a little box above the image that says
"Forum Code" with a number like pg9234. Just copy and paste that into your post
