Thought I'd treat the missus to see Paloma Faith, went onto ticket master to buy a couple of tickets to find they have'nt got any left but
their subsidary site just happens to have some at suprise surprise at 4 times the tickets original price. What a feckin rip off £165 for a £42 ticket
!! bet the artist only gets their cut of the original price.
Dont think I'll bother I'll get the cheap tickets for March next year but then they want an extra 70 p renovation charge and £3.50
fulfillment charge per ticket what the fecks that for, this of course is on top of the £8 for a can of Carling thats about 40 p in Tesco's when
your in the gaff, on top of the interest theyve made on your dosh for 5 months , robbing tw@ts.

I'm feeling your pain! I had a 20 quid ticketmaster voucher, then found that tickets from them are about 20 quid more than other vendors. It's a blag!
Whilst the country was fighting over Take That tickets, I popped onto the German Ticket Master site and got 8 tickets for swmbo and her mates, for a
couple of euros over the ticket price and a couple more for recorded delivery. I had the tickets in my hand whilst folks were still struggling to make
sense of the UK Ticketmaster site!!
I don't understand why or how places can charge for 'booking fees' and 'admin'. Surely that should be part of the ticket
cost. My local theatre charges a booking fee even if you're stood at the booking office.........
It's a con that's been going on for years and I completely agree, if you can't get the tickets any other way, how is it right to have a
separate booking fee? I've had the same issues with theatres, I found it was worse in London where Ticket master was the only way to get tickets
and all of them were for sale at twice face value.
A few years ago I was actually offered money to go and see a Paloma faith gig (They were paying people because they were recording stuff, it was
before the first album was out) but had to turn it down as I lived in Glasgow and the venue was in London, I could have flown there and had a Taxi
from the airport and it still would have cost me less than just tickets to see her now.

Just had a look on Nottingham venue -----ticket price for Stalls £229!!!!!!!!!! WHAT??????
Think this must be a transient issue with "trendy" artists that are "of the momnent".
I generally, and regularly, frequent the heavier end of the music spectrum and althought some of the very big bands charge £60 at the O2 (e.g.
Linking Park next month), most are around the £35-45 with just a couple of quid handling fee on them by the various ticket agencies (e.g. managed to
get Slipknot tickets for Jan today - break out the boiler suit and gas mask !).
Also most of the bands I see, even the recognised global sellers, tend to play the smaller gigs (see Machinehead, Mastodon and Opeth tours this month,
you can see them all for just over £20, that's what I call value for a night out).
So, maybe this is the Music industry or artists cashing in on demand when they knopw they have a limited shelf life and play few gigs and rely on
recoding and TV appearances for £££, where as the music I like tend to be more enduring, play many more gigs and see that as their living ?

Pity Linkin Park aren't doing more gigs in UK. Saw them a few years ago, absolutely amazing
