Would a leaky exhaust manifold cause the engine to run overly warm?

hmm not normally, not a good idea though as the gas can burn through things, like say a fuel line . Can't see it having any effect on timing
etc
actually if you have a Lambda sensor the engine can get the mixture wrong as it draws in fresh air and dilutes the exhaust gas, or so I read somewhere

Unlikely
dought it, maybe put come water in the cooling system
Things that could cause it:
sticky thermostat.
Slipping pump drive belt.
Blocked rad, or rad too small.
Ignition retarded.
Mixture weak.
Blown head gasket.
Blocked or kinked rad hoses.
Binding brakes.
Leaky manifolds can cause fires though. This happened:
...due to tiny leak in a collector weld near the above engine mount.
Ignition Timing too Retarded will cause boiling as soon as the crankshaft speed is above about 1700 t0 2000 rpm
X2 for the ignition timing - I had an issue with the timing on my Fiero GT...and all 6 pipes were glowing orange hot, even at idle! Check your timing...
The timing may be the issue...but if I advance it any more it pinks like a monster!
