Has anyone used a Rover V8 ?
Cheers

Not in a kit but not much heavier than a pinto, low power considering it's a V8, unless you spend mega bucks but unbelievable torque from the word go.

Not a cheap engine, buy it for £50 then spend loads rebuilding!

LT77 box probably shagged, R380's command strong money.

Other than for the sound there are better engines for a 7 in my opinion.

Theres a 3.9 V8 going in my Jago with a 4 speed auto... should be nice and lively

Is that a 2wd auto, rare beast if it is, do you know what it came out of?

i think the previous comment is correct, there probably are mroe mdoern engine that can deliver better power for less money. but. the v8 for me delivers more than enough for a seven. and the best bit is that it sounds amazing. always loved that noise and to own one in my car is still grin inducing several years on just when it starts up

No no, its 4x4, its going to be a huge beast by the time I've doubled up the chassis and added all the hardware to mount the donor bits, which was a Range Rover

Alternatively buy a good one for few hundred.

R380 brand new on eBay went for 750 quid.

Fine engine for 7 type car, just get the gearing right.
