Bolt on Vs Push in Diff

I am currently running a 3.62 LSD 7" bolt on diff, I would like to change my CWP for a 3.14.

Will a CWP from a push in 3.14 diff fit into a bolt on 3.62 diff?

the cwps are the same and you can swop them around the only requirement as far as i remember is that lsds need bolt on shafts.

the other problem will be finding a 3.14 !

Did consider this myself but am now going for a freelander diff so didnt go too far along this so dont take this as gospel.

I believe you need a complete 3.14 diff. Leave the pinion in place and swap the crownwheel over onto the LSD unit before replacing it into the 3.14 casing. You then use the output shafts from the LSD unit as mentioned. so keep your bolt on shafts

Paul's got it in one - rather than putting the 3.14 crown wheel and pinion into your LSD, you put your LSD unit into the 3.14 diff. This saves you having to re-setup the pinion to crownwheel mesh by re-shimming.

Good luck finding the 3.24 though!
