Motorsport Sections - restructure?

I've just made one of my rare visits to www.locostforum.co.uk.

It's clear that the forum, which was designed specifically for 750MC Locost competitors, is virtually dead and offering no value to anyone - unless you like spam!

I'm also conscious that the "Race Issues" section on here gets VERY litte use. Hence I wondered if it was worth consolidating the two existing sections - making them 750MC Locost-specific to support these competitors and then creating a General Motorsport section to deal with any other threads relating to RGB, Kit Car racing, Sprints & Hillclimbs etc.

Discussion very welcome...

TC

Tim, Yes I have also had a lot of wooky spam from that site of late ..... lol

IIRC the site owner wanted to off load it, as he was moving on ..... but my memory could be playing up! LOL

There is a very long running locost-racing (750 locosts though) yahoo-group, of which I am also a long time member, but have never posted as it is such a pain (long-winded) to log in to.
I had a 'new post' from that site yesterday, which was the first since the beginning of December...
Quite surprising really when 'winter mods' should/would be in full swing!

I think it would depend on the populous of the racing fraternity on here, as to whether it is feasible to restructure the Racing Section, and put the suggestion forward to 'The Boss'

So we will have to wait and see how many 'yays and nays' we get to this thread....

Hi

The old Yahoo site is next to useless. There's no real structure to it that's of any use to people unless they are fully updated and in the know with all that's happening anyhow. The locost forum was a welcome breath of fresh air given it had the same useful functions and easy to use nature of here.

It would be quite good if this site could have a dedicated section as the locost formula dose not have a proper forum like the RGB formula. As it stands we are left chasing around 2-4 sites to keep up with the latest goings on with people having to do multiple posts to cover all contacts with others.

My thoughts are it would be greatly welcomed and the forum would for sure gain some free publicising on many of the cars i am sure.

Cheers Matt

as an ex locost racer I would love to see it come over to this site, as previously said that site is sadly past it's best IMHO.
