Can we have an 'other' section in the car's bit?

We've got sections for MNR/MAC/etc etc. For the people without the more common kit can we have a 'other makes' section added or a projects section?

Seems to make sense, not only that to people browsing thinking of getting a kit it shows what else is around too.

Surely that what the rest of the forum is already for?! The car specific forums are for questions specifically about those makes, the rest of the forums are for the general stuff about other cars.

Not really.... we need a section under the 'CARS' bit, I think you're looking at it from the wrong angle.

No I agree with Matt. My car isn't from one of the named manufacturers, I built it myself and I use the general topics.
TBH I can't really see the point in manufacturer specific. If there's a brake questionfor example put it in the running gear or whatever and so everyone knows where to search for it. One or two of the specific areas are turning into their own little sites with people not posting potentially helpful subjects to all outside of that area which I think just complicates searching in the future.

The daft thing is that the forum is called LocostBuilders, but there's no section for a genuine Locost! I'm talking about a self-built car made according to the book.

Not that I want one mind - it just puzzles me that we have sections for several 'non-book Locost look-alikes', and nothing for the original inspiration.

I'm with franky on this one. I'm also building a GKD, now I know there cant be a section for every car manufacturer but it would be good to have a 'other' section under cars to stick in our construction issues etc, rather than having to trawl the forum search.

I mentioned this quite a while back, as there was no section for Raw/Sylva.

Would be faily simple to add an 'other kits' section.

A 'please' here or there might go a long way with the site moderators when asking for changes...
