Anyone else remember this site
I was thinking today about this site and when it was launched, we were all on some communities forum can't remember which, and people said it
will never catch on, too complicated, now this style forum seems to be the norm.

Before my time - I think It used to be referred to as 'the old list' or something
"That thing you're thinking - it wont be that."

TOL!
It was the yahoo groups forum, more bitchin' than Bitchinville on a bitchy afternoon
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

There are still a fair few of us original "refugees from TOL" around

Love is like a snowmobile, speeding across the frozen tundra.
Which suddenly flips, pinning you underneath.
At night the ice-weasels come...

The owner of TOL lives in Livingston, Dougie Wells.
First complete and finished Locost I had ever seen.

Lets face it, when we were on there the internet itself wasn't that old and Google was just a baby...... makes us sound ancient but
it's amazing what can happen in 10 years!
The only thing I miss about TOL is the late Ken Walton - for those who don't know he was a somewhat certifiable Canadian who built one of the
very first locosts from an MGB as well as lots of other rather mad contraptions/race cars. Absolutely as mad as a fish but a really nice guy - despite
being a friend of robbing Ron. I had the privilege of meeting him once at Mallory Park and, unlike a lot of people, he was exactly the same in person
as he came across on forums. I was a bit 'Calvinx' esc on the Locost Racers group tbh but Ken sorted me out and ever since I try to play
nicely with others in his memory........ it works most of the time LOL!
