Avatar size
maybe this has been covered before, not checked..
suggestion: how about hard coding the width of avatars in the site template, to stop people using maaahoooosive ones and mangling the layout?

probably a good idea blue, but people get reminded if theirs is too big. i make mine about 150 pixels wide. would be easier if the site reduced them
though. Extra work for chris though.

A few months ago there was someone whose avatar took up more space than the page!
I think he got the idea (or ChrisW gave him some help).

Problem with setting the width is there is no 'up to xx pixels' tag, only one to fix the width. If someone uses an avatar less than xx
pixels wide it will be stretched which looks poo.
Don't worry, LocostBuilders 2.0 has build in avatar resizing

No! I like phpBB too, but we've gone too far with XMB now (and there's no conversion script AFAIK).
LB2.0 is 100% bespoke code by my own hand.... so it'll probably be worse than ever!
