Email address viewable?
Is it my imagination or did the email button previously show the owner's emaill address by hovering over it - or have I got my BBs muddled up?
Certainly now it just links anonymously to the post-poster. If that's the way it is (and will remain) I can remove my completely meaningless
signature below.
BTW, having your email address available through a link, as people do in their websites under a link called something like "contact me" is a gateway
for spam generated automatically by intrusive software. Apparently one way to stop it is to alter your email address by, for instance, adding and
asterisk which has to be manually removed by a himan being to make it work - well that's the theory.
PS - does any of that make any sense?

I changed the link because I am planning on writing a web -> email thingy so people can email without having anyone's address displayed. The plan is
that once you send a mail via the web the recipient can then decide whether to email you back (ie telling you their address) or not if they'd rather
you didn't know. Does that make sense??
