Wildcard entries...

Would it be possible to place a wildcard entry onto member name search's.

I wanted to search for Vince G but couldn't remember how to spell his 2nd name. If you could put Vince* then it would pull everything up with that $ beginning, likewise Hell* would get us etc etc.

Just a suggestion...

if you search member list for vince first, it brings up VinceGledhill, and Vincent Langan.

not entirely sure if this was what you were after, but there you go

try Vince% or hell%

% is the wilcard search on a sql database not *

I think these search options should be put on the search form as hints so everyone knows...

Not knowing this makes searching the forum a real pita!!
