Is the F8 key a differnt colour? Is there another key of the same colour that you need to hold down whilst pressing F8 to turn on Wifi
Hope this helps

Do you have a function key, or Fn?
As said, hold this down and press F8, the wireless light should come on which i think is next to the power light on the Toshibas, after that it should
connect automatically.

On my Equium there's a tiny switch next to the wireless light to turn the wireless on.

The switch should be a little slide switch on the front side of the laptop under the lights.
