Nag ARGH!
I now can't look at the page I want to in the electrolysis screen because the "nag page" comes up by chance before I'm able to
skip ahead to the right page (comes up after 3 or so clicks).
It's not that I actually mind paying towards locostbuilders, but nagware has always peed me right off. And broken nagware too! always directs
you to the first page of the topic you were trying to look at.
GRRRRRRRRR
Now I'm stuck in this vicious cycle of not wanting to be "bullied" into paying by this constant annoyance, while not really minding
paying for an excellent service.
For future reference, or whatever, I would have responded much better to a single u2u explaining the site costs and saying that a contribution would
be helpful.

Even better.
Sites becoming popular and supporting themselves with moderate not-too-irritating adverts like banners I have no problem. Likewise adding new features
that require a payment or subscription without affecting the original, free service.
Things that start out free then move the goalposts like this to extract money when they've become popular really tick me off.
Note that I'm not suggesting chris is unfair for trying to get some money for the site, I appreciate that to run something like this properly
takes time and effort to administer the server and forums and keep people happy. Once you have a large enough user base that you feel obligated to
spend your time keeping them happy, it's reasonable to expect something in return.
I just wish he could have found a less annoying way of going about it :/

i should probably clarify that the nag screen does go for people who get their tag changed to 'contributor', if chris cannot identify
which email/accounts match up then you dont get it sorted.

I've noticed that the nag screen is 'popping' up a lot more often, but then again, I've not contributed.

Don't bother.
I sent two U2Us to Chris on 2/11/06. Still not been read. So he obviously doesn't bother to read his U2Us.
Not had a reply/acknowlegement to an e-mail sent on 15/03/07 either.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Chris posted the other day that he has over 300 unread u2us, mostly from people clicking the trader report button unnecessarily. He said to email
and provided an address i believe.

Yes, he has had a job trawling through the seemingly endless U2U's of late.
Joel, I think the thread you are referring to is this one.....
Linky
I am not sure what is going on with the nag screen TBH...
I personally, don't have anything to do with that side of things.
I will ask him about it when we next speak.

Just a thought,
but what if there was a specific title (subject) word for people to use when U2Uing Chris?
Would this be easy for Chris to spot amidst the hundreds of others he gets?
"MONEY" would work for me.
