whers my avatar gone?

ok snoopy went joyriding in my avatar xk8,how do i put a new one up(in language i can understand please)

Put your avatar picture in your photo archive, right click on it and go to its properties, left click and drag to highlight (turn it blue) the URL address then right click and copy it. Open your control panel and edit profile, click in avatar section, right click and paste, edit profile and exit.
By the way it must be a .jpg or .gif I think, check with ChrisW.
