catch up and searching
Is the aim of the catch up button to refresh your page, ie show you any new posts and U2U messages if you are already in the forum?
If so how come when i even log out and back in it still tells me that there are new messages in the sections i have just been in, and i have already
read them.
Secondly, is it just me finding it annoying that when you search for something and it brings up a list of threads and you plump for one that sounds
interesting and it aint the one you want .........you have to start the search thing all over again, how come you cant just hit the back button and go
back to the list of prospective threads?

easy way around the search problem. click back and then reload the page, and click yes to repost the information you sent - this is basically
performing the search again for you.

him upstairs recommended not logging out, so i dont anymore. after it has been idle for ten mins the envelopes reset, or u can do it with the catch up
button if you want. GO is right about the search, just refresh. I though it was my browser settings that caused that so nice to know we all suffer
from it!

Another way with the search is when you have a list of topics, hold down the SHIFT key while you click the link you want to follow, that will open up
a new window and when you've done, just close it and do the same with the next. I find this easier but I suppose it's a matter of
personal preference.
As for the 'catch up' button, I use it when I've read the forum and about to leave, if there is anything new since my arrival then
the corresponding envelope will show in red still.
