is it possible to change names?
getting sick of being a number (seemed a good idea at the time). Is it possible to change, or do I need to start over?
Thanks
Mark

I can... but it's not an easy job and involves me hacking around in the databases. If you really want it done, email me and I'll put it
on the list!

I used to have a mate called 9904170
Do you know him?
Cheers
Chris
Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Name Change
I asked ChrisW to alter my screen name and it seems like a complicated task. Perhaps it's easier if you open another name and ask Chris to
delete your old one? Due to complications with hosting and stuff it's not fair on him, even though he was quite passive on it.
Thanks tho' Chris - you're a gent!
I haven't been able to get into hosting for a while - what's the limit on personal webspace?

The Darkness
Seem to be the latest new kids on the block - latest album for Maidenite's is cool.
Even from Lowestoft they are good...

Darkness are fun live.
as for the name change.. should be fairly trivial 5-minute bit of command line sql hacking if the database for the forum is designed at all sensibly..
I think chrisw is making a "reluctant system administrator estimate" of the difficulty
Do them myself all the time, takes one to spot one.. sorry chris

It needs to be changed in a about 12 tables, made more complicated by the fact that XMB had a crap database structure to start with which has been
hacked about even more by me
Sorry... it is a longer job than you imagine and the time is better spent fixing more of the moans you lot have... Links page is next!
