In a word yes. Anyone else checking on a 30min basis to see if it was back online?
Maybe we should start a self help group

I played with the new forum demo - in IE it was fine, but in FireFox it was completely trashed.
Hopefully ChrisW will test it using several browsers before the re-launch...

Worked nicely in Google Chrome, but I agree Firefox now has 20% market share.

the new site, if that was it in the demo?isn't as hugely different as I was expecting, smarter looking but very much the same format. Was hoping
for some improved way of viewing the archive photo's like on other forums

What a day! I've been skulking round other forums, and morning the loss.
I am not bothered what the site looks like - its the content and people that make it what it is.
Thanks to the site owner for fixing it up for us

vbulletin is the answer, it's by far the best forum software - very customizable. Free add ins like vbgarage would be perfect for here...
It's a hundred and something to purchase outright and £30 ish a year for updates.

I am so glad to hear you lot are all as sad as me...! I was checking every half an hour or so, and found it most disturbing that it didn't
work!
Why did Chris not announce he was switching the site off before doing it? Seems odd to me not to warn users....
