Are your cookies disabled....that seems to be the most common cause of being unable to log in.

Go to tools>>internet options>>security and check the security levels are on medium or less (apart from the unstrusted sites one)

Hope that helps
David

Same exact problem :(

I have EXACTLY the same problem on one of my home pc's. Was working fine for years, then one day BAM!. No more locostbuilders login possible. All other websites that require user and pass to login continue to work fine. I tried every security/cookie setting known and nothing makes it able to login... very disturbing...

All of my other computers behind the home firewall can login to locostbuilders website just fine, so I know it's not a firewall setting either.

What's happening is that the locostbuilder website is creating a cookie on my system, but it's not writing all the session data into the cookie. But as to WHY it's not placing the information in the cookie, I don't know.

I simply can't use that machine to post messages to the forum anymore.

Have you tried deleting all you old cookies and temporary internet files from your system? Or just the LB ones. I clear mine every week or so....this site leaves a lot of tempoary files on your computer due to peoples avatars and other things. I notice it start going slow on mine after a week or so. But once i have cleared my temp files and cookies its ok again....

Cheers
David

I am running a program called Evidence Eliminator on it right now and will report back later today.

EE is a great program for cleaning up all those files on your computer that you don't want (or need) hanging around. But it's does more than just eliminate 'evidence'.

i manually deleted my TIF the other day, took ages and you notice pages appearing with no photos at first! then you realise what temporary internet files do.

i was advised to click the option that empties the file everytime the browser is closed. Makes me feel better!

Evidence Eliminator fixed it!

After a complete system cleaning and purge I am now able to login to Locostbuilders from my main home system!

Wohoooooo! <VERY HAPPY MAN>

PS- A keycode generator is available for this program that makes purchasing it unecessary. ( I "might" know how to get it... <wink> mail me off-list if you need more information.
