wiki
I was thinking about this the other day after the thread about repeat questions on the forum and the poor search.
a Wiki would be a great source of information and links could be added to the pages back to relevant posts on the forum keeping relevant threads
together
ive not thought about it much but just wondered if people would be willing to contribute it might be something useful for everyone - it would only
work if people where genuinely willing to contribute though
what do you think?

Seems that the creator of the original wiki was Banned.
Presumably taking the wiki with him....

dead then.
I dont see having it on a different site as been the solution, imo it would have to be part of locostbuilders.co.uk to even think about it working -
because whatever work that guyand possibly others put into that other one its gone now - which is a shame and people are unlikely to want to do work
twice

Im not sure how one organises something like this.
there is no point in setting it up unless volunteers step forward to add to it
and no point in asking volunteers to come forward without someone saying yeah we can do it

^^ ditto,
The other issue is locostbuilders is now for more than haynes locost, it also includes all sorts of other car related stuff, how should/could this be
included in the wiki?.. If we really want a wiki it should be part of the site other wise it will so south again, so chrisW would have to have some
input, sure he may have enough on his plate I suspect..

see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki
or to quote "a website whose users can add, modify, or delete its content via a web browser using a simplified markup language or a rich-text
editor.[1][2][3] Wikis are typically powered by wiki software and are often used collaboratively by multiple users. Examples include community
websites, corporate intranets, knowledge management systems, and notetaking."

personally if its related to building a car I would happily see it up there, for example you could have a section for engines, that could include
pinto information and also a ZZR1400 info (under different pages of course)
for those wondering what a wiki is, its just wikipedia but for a single subject in our case building cars
