Link? How do I do it?
Hi All,
I've just about got the hang of links by using the copy address, then paste into the text,
but instead of, "blah blah blah blah etc etc etc", how do I get it to come up as, "Link", or "Here"?
It looks so much neater
Words of one syllable please, I'm thick.
Thanks
Paul G

This is how you need to type it
[ URL=http://www.test.com]Link[ /URL]
I've put 2 spaces in so the forum won't put up a link.
The other option is to click on the picture of the world with the link underneath it (underneath the Verdana box) and follow the prompts

hover over the icon, it says 'insert a hyperlink'. Thats the easiest way to do it.

Chocky method. Thanks, it works, but I wouldn't want to type that out many times.

Joel,
I'd like to try your method but, hover over what icon?
Sorry, but I told you I'm thick when I started this thread.
Thanks

Find the URL of the website you want a link to and then copy it. Go into Locostbuilders reply or create new post and click the world with a chain link
underneath it. Follow the prompts and type in the name you wish to call it - "link" / "here" or whatever and then paste in the
URL that you copied earlier.

When you type your message there are a row of buttons in the box above,
The fifth from the left is a blue circle with a chain on it.
Click that, it will pop up with a box, the first one is what you want the link to say, the second is the link.

Thanks chaps
I'll give it a go
Nearly there but...
When I go to eBay,
"copy" URL
go to L/b
open thread & click reply
click on icon 5 (Ski helmet with goggles)
type "Link" in box & click OK
http box comes up, but now I can't click on edit, then paste
Do I have to type it in by hand?
Thanks for your patience
