Q for ChrisW, Fuzzy search
Chris,
Any chance of making the search a little more "fuzzy"?
Often when I'm trying to find previous threads about a particular subject I spend quite a while trying to narrow the results down by using
different keywords.
As an example, I'm sure that someone has asked about books on GRP making before and I'm trying to find such a thread. However because I
can only search on actual strings it's not easy to find. What I'd actually like to be able to do is search on say three or four keywords
and have all threads with all words in returned i.e. GRP book making.
Any chance?
Is the search done by SQL?
If so what I'd like is something like the following...
select * from table where text like "%GRP%" and text like "%book%" and text like "%making%"
And maybe an ignore case option (although I think it does now already?)... And maybe an "and/or" switch?
Not too cheeky eh?

I'm up for this too Chris, is it sorted easily? I've been using the search a lot lately and I find that just using one word will give me
a lot of topic (many times) and using 2 words brings up very few results.
I know you really want to anyway

I'd have to look into it when I've got some more time. Search function is built in to the BBS and I've not fiddled with it!
