Big improvement this morning, no hang at all. Must've defragged the database?

I think it's being caused when there are loads of people online. I ramped the max limit of threads on the database up a couple of days ago -
maybe that's caused it? I'll keep investigating!

Yup, getting problems posting, page hangs so I refresh and end up having posted the same thing several times and I have to go back and delete the
duplicate posts.

I have noticed the same sluggishness with loading pages. I only have a paper cup and a piece of string connection to the interweb but I would have to
say that the problem only occurs here very rarely
Even with this slight glitch it’s still an excellent site

Um... me too! Often when I open a new topic or item I just just get a blank page with a header and the checkerplate background.
Often I can recover by doing 'back' & 'forward', or sometimes just a refresh.
This is when using it at home and work, dial-up and VERY-broadband, respectively.

now this is odd, the site seems to run a *lot* better for me in firebird than it does in IE

I think its better than it was anyway, so it just might be a coincidence - firebird v IE. I didn't spend too much time on the site yesterday,
but when I was on it, no problems, it even posted ok (no doubles!)
Lets hope that Chris has sorted it! once and for all!

I've been experiencing this for the last several days as well. Seems to be getting worse, especially today. Any of you clever people out there
who understand these things over any reasons/solutions?

I've been getting the same problems over the last week or so!
It seems to get progressively worse the longer you stay on the site, upto the point where it just stops loading alltogether.
Very frustrating. To the point that I'm looking in on the site less often now.
