Is it worth us deleting old for sale ads?
Following on from the site running slower and a bit of an old for sale ad clear out - it is a good idea for us to go into our old posts and clear them
out for the good of the site.
Ive done mine already.
Im really just talking about posts with no historic value where the goods are sold and post is dead. Should we do bargains elsewhere and wanted ads
too? Hopefully the admin bods can say if this will help the site or not.

I would be surprised if deleting posts has any affect on the response time from the server. If this is the issue then the site should be permenantly
slow. I suspect it is an inconsistent connection speed to server that is the problem, perhaps heavy load. ISTBC. However, it is good houskeeping!

I haven't, yet, had a slow site! I have been accessing it throughout the day/evening too!

What happens with me is that all is well for a while, then I will click on a thread to open it, and can wait for ages for it to open, so much so that I
often have a game of Freecell or the suchlike on the go for something to do while waiting.

Its fine for me. I doubt deleting old posts will make a blind bit of difference.

Deleating odd thread will have no effect on the problem.
